Earn an FCC Completion Award for each course completed, recognizing your growing skills and commitment to the field.
ServSafe Food Manager® Certification
Upon successful completion, you are eligible to sit for the ServSafe Food Manager® Certification Exam, an industry-recognized credential valued by employers across the hospitality industry.
Sanitation and Food Safety
Step 1: Earn Industry Credential
- Prepare for the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exam either independently or by successfully completing HCT117 - Sanitation and Food Safety.
- Pass the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Exam to become a ServSafe Certified Food Protection Manager.
Step 2: Receive Academic Credit
- Enroll in Culinary Arts & Supervision AAS or the Culinary Skills Certificate program.
- Receive academic credit for HCTI 101 - Sanitation and Food Safety (2 credits) by contacting Registration and Records at registrar@frederick.edu or 301.846.2431.
